As we don't have portable installations yet, there is no way for you to install Mumble without admin password as as far as I know you need that on every OS in order to install new software 🤷

If you have installed Mumble, a mumble.ini can be placed next to the mumble.exe and that will be used instead of the registry. That way you can prepare a portable version. (IIRC the sqlite is placed in the same folder too then.)

I also wonder if the installer only needs admin permission to install into the program files path? I don't think we do anything else that would require them.

You can install mumble on another computer and just copy the Mumble folder to a computer without administrator rights and start mumble there (I did this, but it may not always work and it is not very correct to do this) (sorry for the mistakes)
