When navigating outside the score, pressing Esc doesn't return focus

Description with steps to reproduce

1. Open the score
2. Navigate with arrows
3. Hit Tab several times to go outside and navigate panels/buttons
4. Hit Esc (one or two times)
5. Try to navigate with arrows - you are still outside the score
