So far images must be base64 - encoded within the HTML. Add support for loading images via path from the compendium.

This should be the case for R Markdown documents that are not self-contained, i.e., there is an extra image directory. See https://bookdown.org/yihui/rmarkdown/html-document.html#document-dependencies
