Site does not display well on mobile

From Sean: "The guide does not display well on mobile. The left-nav takes up most of the space, and so the column with content is squeezed to about 10 characters long, which makes the content impossible to read. One possible solution to this, I think, would be to remove the left-nav for screens smaller than a given width."
