We have a serious and recurring problem of landing pages for 90% of our Wikipedia/Wikivoyage zims being either outdated (because it's a faithful copy of pages that mentions "image / article _of the day") or incomplete because of some parsoid/other issue (see #1193), which is poor UX.
A low hanging fruit and elegant solution has already been implemented with custom selections, whereby page popularity allows to generate a dynamic landing page. We definitely could have the same thing applied across the board on Wikivoyage/Wikipedia files.
Wikinews/quote/source probably are another ball game but worth considering at a later stage.
