Hi, I'm Pavan Kalyan, currently working towards my M.S in Computer Science at Columbia. Previously, I worked as a software engineer at Hevo Data{:target="_blank"} as a SDE-II and have interned at Microsoft{:target="_blank"} and TIF Labs{:target="_blank"}.
I did my undergrad at Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal{:target="_blank"} in 2020. During college, I was part of Linux Users' Group{:target="_blank"} and Robotics and Circuits Club{:target="_blank"}. I also do some competitive coding once in a while on sites like codeforces{:target="_blank"} and atcoder{:target="_blank"}.

I am passionate about open source software and try to contribute regularly. Here are a few I have previously contributed to: Jackson, Depscloud{:target="_blank"}, Trickster{:target="_blank"}, GoCity{:target="_blank"}, etc.
I enjoy playing video games and reading science fiction and fantasy books. My favorite author is Brandon Sanderson{:target="_blank"}.
