Hello, it is matter of embedded fonts. Using pdffonts with my pdf file this info is shown:

If you open the PDF with a reader, you can see the text properly rendered. I also tested your render https://pdf-rs.github.io/view-wasm/ and it render the pdf correctly.
I just run the example you provided following the instructions (download also the fonts) and the output is something like this:
