Client hangs with X Error

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Start the client
2.Click button "Data Directory"
3.Select a directory with map and click OK

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? A message box with title 
Warning and text:
X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3
  Major opcode: 20 (X_GetProperty)
  Resource id:  0x80002e

Then I can't close the message box and the monav window does not react either. 
I can close it with SIGINT.


What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.3, Ubuntu 11.10, KDE
