I think it's easier if we use one category that most accurately reflects what the software is for

For example, all emulators are now “Game”.

If you agree, i can try to make pr

For i project i use next categories:

  1. Audio & Video
  2. Development
  3. Education
  4. Finance
  5. Games
  6. Graphics
  7. Network
  8. Productivity

Hi, @Drsheppard01
do you have a social contact?
I tried to make you join telegram: https://t.me/official_loonix
However, it seems like you don't use it.

I am in talks with @Samueru-sama along with several others, thinking how to go forward.
Would like to have your feedback, I scoured all the issues you created on many repos, and even your mastodon account, I have a general idea, but would like to have a more in depth talk, but github issue isn't realtime sadly.

Regarding this category, the sbuild-linter will auto add an utility category if one doesn't exist.
Otherwise, it's validated against this json: https://github.com/pkgforge/soarpkgs/blob/main/assets/category.json

But as you might have noticed, this entire repo will be changed significantly.
The main repo is https://github.com/pkgforge/soarpkgs
And this repo will just run the scripts from there and provide prebuilts.

Moreover, I added the tag field specifically because the official spec is too limited and it's not good for more refined filtering:
https://docs.pkgforge.dev/sbuild/specification/19.tag
