Python 3 support #4
Comments
Any progress on this? Would be great not to have to switch my system python to run chromatron. |
There is, but it's part of dev branch that's pretty far ahead of the v1.0 release that shipped. It requires a firmware update to support the new compiler. Lmk if you're interested in that. I hadn't done an official release because, well, it just didn't end up being a popular product :-/ |
I'd totally be interested in that. I assume there's more capability afforded by the 2670 additional commits in the Also, are you still selling Chromatron boards? I've been realllly slow to get around to finally using mine, but now that I've had a chance to start playing with them I'm pretty excited by the capabilities. Wouldn't mind being able to buy more and help fund continued development. I could also help w/ web, ecommerce, and documentation if desired. |
There's quite a bit more capability - it's just been a side project and hadn't had a lot of interest. I'll see what I can put together. It's mostly the same from a user standpoint, just lots of fixes and improvements in the firmware and tools. I'm not selling anymore, I'm actually almost out. I've been working on a port directly to the ESP8266 by itself so it can run on some Adafruit boards (See the esp8266 branch). I want to do an ESP32 port as well. PS - I got your e-mail, I just haven't gotten around to replying yet. |
