Desktop app is not working #7093
Comments
Hi, sorry this is happening. Based on the debug log looks like your app cannot connect. Has it worked previously, and did anything change with your network connection? Also worth testing if the beta is working for you. |
yes, it has been working before. on the same network mobile app is working good. also tried beta version but not working as well |
@TechSuppt2020 Thanks for the additional info. Can you clarify: has the Desktop app worked before previously and if so what version? |
yes the desktop version was working properly before the issue. The version was '7.31.0' |
Has anything else changed about your network? This is a failure with the "websocket" connection which sometimes certain networks have trouble with (mobile hotspots, public wifi, etc). Sometimes things get stuck in a bad state too so it's worth restarting devices (computer, router, any other networking hardware) and clearing any network/DNS caches you have on your device. |
Signal Desktop on macOS is dead too, in the latest version (7.34.0). No connection possible anymore which will result in loosing my connected device because of timeout is near. |
@paxter Please include a debuglog https://support.signal.org/hc/en-us/articles/360007318591-Debug-Logs-and-Crash-Reports |
