When starting up conda-manager as a standalone app, the environment is set to root even if I start up conda-manager from another environment. It would be nice to be able to auto-detect the environment, and also optionally to allow the user to change environment.

Hi @astrofrog, sure, will change this. This codebase was a bit abandoned for a while, so I need to do a big code refactor
