Hey Talaviram,

I just found this project, and it is exactly what I've been looking for. It works out of the box and has a very clean UI. Very well done by you! There are 2 features that would make this absolutely perfect for me.

  • selecting the input device, I would like to select an audio interface that is connected to the mac
  • Having a setting where one can select a amount of time, till the transcribed text gets deleted again

I'm already really thankful, that you made this piece of software, especially open source and free, and can understand if you don't want to fulfill requests from a stranger on the internet. But I thought that I shoot my shot and ask you kindly, if you would be willing to invest your time to add these 2 features to OpenSpoken?

Best regards

Hi @PeterPan123456 thank you for the feedback.

As this is open-sourced maybe someone can make a pull-request and add you requested features. I can only try when/if I have time.

selecting the input device, I would like to select an audio interface that is connected to the Mac

The app is using Catalyst (also to support Intel Macs). So as it's using interface for iOS/iPadOS etc, I'm not sure if there's easy simply way adding this without making the code more complex. but I'll see.

Having a setting where one can select a amount of time, till the transcribed text gets deleted again

This sounds reasonable and I'll try to look at it. (though this app tries to have minimalistic UI as possible).
