The complexity of lock could be avoided if a command e.g. a command shelephant remote_update myname would exist. In reality only .shelephant/storage/myname is needed.

One could even consider having a .shelephant_remote folder instead to make a distinct difference

Another question is if lock should have the possibility to allow multiple names, if the data is part of multiple datasets
