Hope you are doing well. I noticed that the requirement to run asynchronous code from this package is to have a tokio 0.2.x runtime. Is there a reason why this is not upgraded to tokio 1.x?

Hey, sorry for the delayed response.

No reason other than we don't use tokio 1.0 internally yet, so I haven't updated it. Also, we might end up merging / being replaced by https://github.com/ammubhave/plaid-rs now that it has been revived.
