Can't open or close noTunes #33
Comments
noTunes only has a single simple interface, an icon in the menu bar. When you run it, a new icon should appear in the upper right. It has only one function, clicking on it turns noTunes on or off. You can't quit it, you can't look at it, it does not have a window or anything like that to interact with. You say "it doesn't show up as an app on my MacBook Pro". Well it has to in order to be running. It is likely in your system's Applications folder, but it could be anywhere (I found mine was in the Downloads folder, which was entirely unexpected). Use Spotlight to find it, when it does, scroll to the bottom and select Search in Finder. This will show you where it is in the folder. You can't delete noTunes because it is running properly. If you wish to remove it, open Activity Monitor, select noTunes, and click the Stop button. |
Same problem: No menu icon for noTunes though it is working correctly and shows with |
same here |
The fix for me was to kill it from Activity Monitor, then run |
Launch noTunes. Does not show up in the menu bar, but it shows up in Activity Monitor with CPU usage of 0.0. Nothing else happens. |
Hello! I downloaded noTunes and it certainly did kill Music's abiity to launch, but I can't turn noTunes on or off. Also I can't tell if it's even active. When I click on it, I get no menu bar. I can check the contents but it doesn't show up as an app on my MacBook Pro. And also I can't send it to the Trash because it says it's open... Your help will be appreciated. Thanks.
