From Alex David (mail thread) for https://github.com/trustoverip/deliverables/blob/main/recommendations/DP0031-principles-of-ssi/DP0031-principles-of-ssi.md

Design Goals

"Any organization is welcomed to incorporate these principles into its digital identity ecosystem governance framework provided they are included in their entirety."

Alex: I'm worried that this part will significantly limit the application of the principles. If this is the purpose, forget my comment

The Principles of SSI

Alex: I was wondering if renaming the "4. Control & Agency" by "Identity Rights Holders-centric" would make sense?

I'm suggesting this edit since I often heard the association of control in SSI with the concept of "Identity Rights Holders-centric".

From Daniel Bachenheimer

  1. Decentralization

An SSI ecosystem shall not require reliance on a centralized system to represent, control, or verify authenticate an entity’s digital identity data.

  1. Verifiability and Authenticity and Integrity

An SSI ecosystem shall empower identity rights holders to provide verifiable proof of the authenticity and integrity of their digital identity data.
