There are several issues related to using the [[spec:]] (and spec-norm and spec-inform variants):

  • The list built into the SpecUp tooling is limited to IETF, W3C, and WHATWG
  • Adding other references required manual steps: SpecUp Issue 57

SpecUp Issue 57 contains the beginnings of a solution - in that it documents where the required code changes would be.

EARLY IDEA:

  • We should be able to create a ToIP-Specs.json file that follows the same format and could be added to SpecUp.
    • this may belong in a config file so the raw SpecUp code won't need to be changed.
  • We should add more of the standard sources that are listed by the specref repo (files here).
