I'm preparing a paper for https://microarch.org/micro57/submit/guidelines.php and it requires slight tweaks to the template. Right now I just have a local copy, but I'm wondering if it makes sense to have a conference param and pick the right layouts based on that. I can submit a PR if that's desirable.

Hi @SUPERCILEX, I ran into a similar issue while preparing a paper for an IEEE conference and would be very interested in the changes you ended up making.
From my perspective, it would be great if the charged-ieee template could be aligned with the official LaTeX template, which has different margins, for example, especially in the case of the A4 variant.
