Info

This will be built in React, inside the src/apps/public/ folder. There are currently no existing components for this page, so everything will need to be created.

Structurally, make sure to put the header/nav component in layouts/Header.tsx and footer in layouts/Footer.tsx, that way we can keep them separate from the other components. These files will need to be created.

If you don't have access to the Figma board, ask Jonathan or I (Isaac) for access, that way you can see which colors/fonts are used.

Task

Sections in order:

  • Header
  • About Section
  • Features Section
  • Repos Section
  • CTA (Call to Action) Section
  • Footer

You don't need to worry about mobile responsiveness yet. That will be a later issue.

@raglandconnor Hold on this one actually, I'm still trying to decide whether the landing page should be built in React or WordPress...

Hi! If you have decided for it to be built in React I'd like to give it a go.

Hello again @IkeHunter, Could I get access to the figma file?

@juliasophieg What's your UFL email?

@IkeHunter I just realized that UF stands for the University of Florida, and I’m not a student there. I’m actually a student in Sweden. Can I still work on the issue, or is it just for UF students?

Ah, you can definitely still work on the issue! The figma account is under the "educational" license, so I think it needs an edu email, do you have a student email from a college/university? If not, we can try with your personal and see what it does

@IkeHunter I do, my student email is [email protected] 😊
