Where to put which keys #4
Comments
The double slanted can go onto the middle row, outer column where one finger has 6 keys to handle. Pairs with the saddle lower side on the middle row and slanted on rows 1 and 3 to form a dish over 6 keys. In general the idea is to have as smooth a transition between keys where you need it and as much tactile cue where the realm of one finger ends where you don't want transitions. If in doubt, experiment. Also have a look at my keyboard as an example, pics further down. Hope that helps!

Hey, thanks for this project it looks really cool.
I'm having troubles understanding which key goes where in the layout (for example the double slanted one), do you have an example layout?
I'm planning a 4x6 and am not sure what keys I should use in column 1 and 6.

Oh I understand, let me put a table so it's more visual, is that correct? I hadn't understood the picture well. But the idea helped me, it's quite cool.
and for a 4x6 just add a row of R4 I guess |
