Assorion Engine operates as a two-person team! Additionally, both make commits using the same Github account so Determining who's who is tough. Here are the aliases:
Barzil / Byzol: An Assistant, works on everything around Assorion Engine, including workflow management, templates and concepts, personalization and artistic ideas, and Github accounts organization.
Rapid / Antivirus: The Programmer. concentrates primarily on the Assorion Engine's source code, creating the engine's architectural framework and optimaztion ideas.
Working together, we oversee every facet of Assorion Engine to create the most lightweight and user-friendly FNF engine available.
Assorion Engine is about creating a simple, lightweight, and innovative engine rather than a bulky, feature-rich engine. Assorion Engine won't be overloaded with features, instead, it will just include the essential functions along with less bloat, bug fixes, and small enhancements.
Our goal is to develop an engine that will let individuals add more features and gimmicks without worrying about the engine battling you. This will provide as much control and creative freedom as possible, we like to recommend developing the game from the source code; Working with the source code provides a higher amount of ability to implement more complex ideas into mods.
If you have a feature request, then remember to follow our philosophy. Though said features could be repurposed into the "Extended-Feature" branch in the future.
Assorion is built on the ideals of open source and free software, all Assorion-related software will always remain open source and free. Everyone that chooses Assorion for their projects should make it open source in guidance with the GPL-3.0 license
.
The bulk of Assorion engine-related repositories will be stored under this Github Organization.
You can check out public ones here.
We mainly work on the FNF Engine, but there are others as well.
- HXCPP With O3 is designed not for personal use, but for Github workflows to allow compiler optimizations there.
- Our wiki is a work in progress wiki which will document the process of creating a mod from scratch. More will be written after the release of
1.3.0
