FidelityFX FSR v1.0.2
v1.0.2 Updates
v1.0.2 fixes an issue spotted by Unity (thanks Tim!) where the RCAS part of the algorithm would over-sharpen isolated pixels, and fixes it by also clipping the e
center tap.
We also made the documentation a bit clearer to help new users build the code (thanks @MatofSteel1!), fixed a shader compiler warning (thanks @congyue1977!) and fixed a typo in the sample UI (thanks @chetanddesai!).
Release Notes
This is the first release of FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR), complete with a sample using our Cauldron framework.
- SDR and HDR implementations for DirectX® 12 and Vulkan APIs
- Modes for FSR upscale, bilinear upscale and native rendering
- Selectable EASU quality/scale ratios (Ultra Quality @ 1.3x, Quality @ 1.5x, Balanced @ 1.7x, Performance @ 2x, Custom)
- Fully configurable RCAS sharpening and MIP LOD bias settings
- On-screen loupe magnifier to inspect output quality
Prerequisites
- Discrete or integrated GPU with Direct3D® 12 or Vulkan support
- Windows® 10 64-bit
- Visual Studio® 2019 with Visual C++® and the Windows® 10 SDK installed

FidelityFX FSR v1.0.1
v1.0.1 Updates
v1.0.1 has no code changes and only updates the documentation around when to use the high precision fallback. The pre-built sample is therefore identical to the original v1.0 release.
