ProtogenSSH 1.2.1
To install this app, expand the assets at the bottom of this post, download the APK, then open it using the notification shade or a file browser. Opening the file will prompt you to enable Unknown Sources (Android 7.1 Nougat and below) or Install Unknown Apps (Android 8.0 Oreo and above).
This bugfix release fixes some issues with displaying snackbar notifications on devices with smaller screens. Please let me know if these notifications are still getting cut off :3
ProtogenSSH 1.2.0
To install this app, expand the assets at the bottom of this post, download the APK, then open it using the notification shade or a file browser. Opening the file will prompt you to enable Unknown Sources (Android 7.1 Nougat and below) or Install Unknown Apps (Android 8.0 Oreo and above).
This minor release includes asynchronous calls when connecting to the Raspberry Pi. This means the application will continue to run as normal during the leeway time while it connects and sends the command, instead of locking up.
ProtogenSSH 1.1.0: Now with custom hosts and encryption for Marshmallow+
To install this app, expand the assets at the bottom of this post, download the APK, then open it using the notification shade or a file browser. Opening the file will prompt you to enable Unknown Sources (Android 7.1 Nougat and below) or Install Unknown Apps (Android 8.0 Oreo and above).
This minor release includes support for custom hosts - just configure it in Settings as you would your username, password, and port.
Encryption for the username, password, host, and port settings has also been added. However, this will only take effect for users with SDK23+ (Android 6.0 Marshmallow and up). Support for devices with as low as SDK16 (Android 4.1 Jelly Bean) continues for those users who want to use some phone they shoved in a drawer years ago, albeit with unencrypted prefs. Keep in mind, someone can only access this unencrypted file if they physically have your phone and the capability to unlock it, so it's no big worry if your device doesn't support this encryption.
