HEX to Bin Conveter
An experimental platform with integrated CMS and back office control panel for website deployment and management.
Between 2003 and 2007 while working as a junior scientific researcher, I implemented the first cloud solution for the DECivil - Departamento de Engenharia Civil at Universidade do Minho in particular the very first web page of the construction materials group (see the design layout here) ). This was back in ~2006, the cloud was a concept that only appeared a few years later. This CMS code was running on a Compaq Proliant ML370 Server installed at my home and running 24/7. In 2006 it was a CMS solution very similar to the WordPress solution of that time.
Later, in 2009, as a PhD student, I programmed and installed this CMS code the very first scientific article management platform (see the PHP code here) with an online submission process and a back office with a peer review evaluation form, much similar to the submission platform of the Editorial manager, back then available on Elsevier's website Science Direct. The programming code can still be used today, although it needs some minor updates.
