I am proposing adding some text on the end of the README.md to offer my BluePrint based on your work here and extending it to give users the option to have a safe shutdown and other buttons made available to them via my Blueprint.
Only the code in lines 258 to the end are things I added, the PR shows other changes I'm not sure of.
This also goes to be another answer to issue 98.
