I've coded in multiple dev environments, including CLion, Eclipse, Xcode, IntelliJ, Racket, VSCode, ...
Among these, Atom was definitely my favorite so far ([RIP](https://github.blog/news-insights/product-news/sunsetting-atom/) 2022 🪦)

## VSCode
Since Atom was retired, I have switched to VSCode as my main IDE.

Extensions I frequently use:
- [GitLens](https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=eamodio.gitlens)
- [TailwindCSS](https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=bradlc.vscode-tailwindcss)
- [Svelte](https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=1YiB.svelte-bundle) + [shadcn](https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=Selemondev.vscode-shadcn-svelte)

## [Atom](https://atom.io)
My IDE of choice. As you can see in my [sync-settings](https://atom.io/packages/sync-settings) backup, I use a ton of plugins. Notable mentions include:

Living in: Mainz, Germany, soon I'll be in Munich for a while

Current [theme](https://www.themesystem.com/) : `Year of release`

My theme of the year turned out to be quite prophetic. I was released from my job due to the company going bankrupt, so I will be participating in batch #22 of the [Digital Product School](https://www.digitalproductschool.io/) in Munich for the next three months.

While playing piano, I got frustrated by the Ultimate Guitar Tabs app, so I built my own chords app with Expo and React Native. Right now I’m in the process of porting the application to SwiftUI

I'm also moving my [[redirect]] API to a separate project with built-in AI capabilities: [redairect.com](https://redairect.com)
While playing piano, I got frustrated by the Ultimate Guitar Tabs app, so I built my own chords app with Expo and React Native. I'm now on the third revision, back to using React Native after an attempt with SwiftUI. Hope to release the project on the App Store as soon as I get iCloud syncing to work consistently.

I'm also developing the idea of an app to create and manage organizational systems for physical items. Working title: **OrgSys**

# Smarthome

My local setup runs on a Home Assistant Yellow with a Raspberry Pi CM4. I also use Phillips Hue lights as well as a few other compatible lighting/ smart socket devices. Another company I rely on is SwitchBot for Button automations and the S10 cleaning robot.

Most of my devices can also be controlled via Amazon Alexa.

Hosting on Github [[pages]] is free, but domains usually are not, so I tend to switch domains fairly regularly (whenever renewal would be too expensive). Due to this reason, I usually use `https://dnnsmnstrr.github.io` as the url in most places, which automatically redirects to the current domain.
