Learn ArchiMate the funny way (ArchiMate for Dummies)

As a lot of people, my ArchiMate journey started with the official specifications and only one model: Archisurance. As you may understand if you have read both, this has not been very helpful. I found myself alone with almost no idea on how to start putting it in practice.
This document is an attempt to make ArchiMate meaningful in only a couple of days. I will share here what I would have liked to read more than 2 years ago, hoping it will be of some interest for you. And because, after all, ArchiMate can be used for a broad range of needs, I decided to make this document funny by using it to model... a familly!
A first attempt (kind of POC) is accessible on spotify.
to be continued
Ideas to work on on this document:
- Use a narrative approach: this should looks like a book with chapter replaced by plateau.
- Introduce concepts only when needed: don't do theory first and then pratice, mix them all.
- Model what we know (as-is plateau).
- Use holographic approach: at first, use as few concepts as possible, and only then, introduce new one to go into details.
- Familly / ArchiMate mapping:
- Person > Actor
- Wishes / Objectives > Goal
- Evenements (e.g. Birth) > Business Event
- Electricity / Plumbing > Network
- Power plug > Infrastructure Interface
- Fridge > Node
- Google > Application
- Phone/Mail box > Business Interface
