Youtube Ripper lets you easily save videos from ANY WEBSITE as video or audio using the highest quality by available. Even though it ask for a youtube link you can paste any link and it will download the media.
Download youtube-ripper.exe and run it as you would a normal portable app. It will create the download directories in the same folder the exe is located.
Leaving the options blank will result in the following settings
question 1 default = Download Video
question 2 default = Not a playlist
When downloading stream, press 'ctrl+c' to stop & save file.
If you prefer to use the python script follow the steps below:
pip install -r requirements.txt
python youtube-ripper.py
docker pull torquetraction/youtube-ripper:latest
docker run -it --name vdl torquetraction/youtube-ripper
This will setup the container where the output results are saved.
Start the container in docker desktop then run the command below
docker exec -it vdl /bin/bash
python3 youtube-ripper.py
No it is not a virus, that is a false positive. Anything compiled with pyinstaller will be flagged as potentially malicious. Pyinstaller is what turns the .py file into a .exe file and allows people to run python scripts as portable applications without the need to install python or any dependancies.
Please scan the actual source, the file that ends with '.py' - It will with no doubt be 100% clean on virustotal. That being said I have provided instructions on how to build your own exe from the file you know is clean.
