Among all the social networks, Twitter is not the most popular but the most accessible due to its public messages. In this social network, we can obtain information in real-time about what is happening in the world. But not all are messages, there are also relationships that arise from the interactions of comments and retransmissions. The network analysis of these relationships allows us to classify the conversations by affinity groups, providing a context when carrying out other analyses.

Cities over the world are witnessing a growing trend towards digital technologies for participatory processes. As a result, many online platforms have been developed to encourage citizens to propose citywide improvements. Yet these processes have a lack of an audit method to assess whether the petitions of individuals is effectively taken into account.
In this project we propose a first methodology to examine participatory-democracy platforms. We focus on the case of Decidim Barcelona in which both Administration and citizens created proposals for the the urban planning process of the city. This approach allows to evaluate whether descriptions of accepted proposals were reflected to define the final action to be implemented by analyzing its content. This makes it a challenge because this platform is the only one that is considered bilingual. The results show that texts of actions are more likely to convey proposals authored by the municipal government, which reveals that this participatory process should be improved in future editions to consider more the public opinion.
