Ratpack demo of Resilience4j

This demo shows how to use the fault tolerance library Resilience4j in a Ratpack application.

See User Guide for more details.

Requirements

Docker and Docker Compose installed.

Getting Started

  1. Use docker-compose to start grafana and prometheus servers.
  • In the root folder:
docker-compose -f docker-compose.yml up -d
  1. Start the demo project through the main class.
./gradlew run
  1. Check the application metrics:
  1. Check the status of prometheus:
  1. View metrics in grafana:
  • Open http://localhost:3000
  • Log in with admin/admin
  • Navigate to the "Resilience4j Ratpack Demo" dashboard
  1. Run the tests and watch the metrics update.
./gradlew test
  1. View some sample circuitbreaker events. static:
curl -vv http://localhost:5050/circuitbreaker/events

server sent events:

curl -vv http://localhost:5050/circuitbreaker/stream/events

hystrix like events:

curl -vv http://localhost:5050/circuitbreaker/hystrixStream/events
